Basketball Recap: Chandler Prep Takes a Loss

Chandler Prep lost against Rancho Solano Prep back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The match between the Chandler Prep Titans and the Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs didn't end well, with the Chandler Prep Titans falling 51-35.

Rancho Solano Prep found their leader in sophomore Heidi Iancu, who went 10 for 22 on her way to 25 points and eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Iancu has scored all season. Nenah Brown was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.

Chandler Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Rancho Solano Prep, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Chandler Prep will head out to take on Benjamin Franklin at 12:30 p.m. on Monday. Chandler Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Rancho Solano Prep, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Scottsdale Preparatory Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Rancho Solano Prep's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so Scottsdale Preparatory Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them.
