Soccer Recap: Northbrook Comes Up Short

Northbrook lost against Memorial back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Northbrook Raiders lost 9-1 to the Memorial Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 363rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 144th).

Northbrook now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Memorial, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6.

Looking ahead, Northbrook will take on Cypress Creek at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Northbrook will be up against Cypress Creek's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.55 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Memorial, they will square off against Jersey Village at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
