North Central is a perfect 10-0 against Hilltop since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Cadets at 5:00 p.m. North Central will be strutting in after a win while Hilltop will be coming in after a loss.
North Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over Gorham Fayette on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for North Central in their matchups with Gorham Fayette: they've now won eight in a row.
Kade Stewart made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because North Central is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-6 otherwise. Stewart was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI. Those two triples gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gavin Shockley, who went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Clark, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Hicksville hit Hilltop with a nine-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cadets came up short against the Aces, falling 12-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cadets have suffered since May 24, 2024.
Hilltop saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Terry Rebeck, who went 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run was Rebeck's first of the season.
North Central's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Hilltop, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.
North Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Hilltop in their previous meeting on April 1st, winning 8-5. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Cadets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
