Soccer Game Preview: Bacon Academy vs. East Lyme

The Bacon Academy Bobcats are taking a road trip to take on the East Lyme Vikings at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Bacon Academy's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Fitch 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for Bacon Academy.

Talan Ladyga and Owen McLoughlin scored all three of Bacon Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, East Lyme was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Morgan could gain the upper hand on Monday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

East Lyme's draw makes their record 17-0-1 this season. As for Bacon Academy, they now have a winning record of 7-6-4.

Bacon Academy might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from East Lyme when the teams last played two weeks ago. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bobcats were down 3-0.
