Softball Game Preview: Rim of the World Fighting Scots vs. Big Bear Bears

The Rim of the World Fighting Scots will square off against the Big Bear Bears at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Rim of the World and three for Big Bear.

Rim of the World lost 15-1 to Redlands two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Big Bear was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They came up short against Academy for Academic Excellence, falling 11-1. The game marked the Bears' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Jordan Gilligan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Big Bear's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Rim of the World, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-1.

Rim of the World took their win against Big Bear in their previous meeting back in March of 2016 by a conclusive 16-0 score. Will the Fighting Scots repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
