Softball Recap: Camden Central Wins Going Away Against East Hickman County

Camden Central won the last time they faced East Hickman County and things went their way on Monday too. The Lions were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Eagles. That looming 12-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Lions yet this season.

Addison Melton made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Melton was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Emma Pierce was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Abbi Grace Wallace was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.

Camden Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Camden Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for East Hickman County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.
