Basketball Recap: Eastlake Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Eastlake can now relate to. They took a 75-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Steele Canyon Cougars on Tuesday. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Eastlake has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season. As for Steele Canyon, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 19-9.

Eastlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Steele Canyon, they will take on Mira Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Mira Mesa has won seven straight at home, while Steele Canyon won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
