Baseball Preview: Granite City Warriors vs. Freeburg Midgets
Granite City is 1-8 against Freeburg since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Midgets at 4:30 p.m. Granite City will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
On Tuesday, Granite City came up short against Alton and fell 9-5.
Keithan Noel made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Tm Bradley, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Freeburg didn't have quite enough to beat St. Louis University on Tuesday and fell 5-3. The Midgets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
