Basketball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 52-13 loss at the hands of the Rock Hills Grizzlies. The Leopards were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-4.

Leading Rock Hills to victory were Halle Mizner and Bethany Simmelink. Mizner dropped a double-double with 25 points and ten rebounds, while Simmelink went 6-for-15 to rack up 15 points along with six assists and six steals. The matchup was Mizner's third in a row with at least 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alivia Lindberg, who posted five points and seven boards.

Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Rock Hills, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-3.

Lincoln has already played their next contest (against Canton-Galva), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Rock Hills, they will square off against Thunder Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on February 21st.
