Baseball Recap: Baldwin Finds Playoff Glory Versus Suwannee

Baldwin extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Suwannee. They blew past the Bulldogs 8-2. This was a revenge game for the Indians: when they faced off against the Bulldogs on Monday, they had to take a 9-4 defeat.

Maxwell Gallagher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Baldwin let Chase Staley and Turner Farah run wild. Staley went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Farah went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run. That's the most hits Farah has posted since back in April of 2024. Jesse Macik also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Baldwin lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Baldwin now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Suwannee, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-7.

Baldwin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
