Soccer Game Preview: Corcoran vs. Woodlake

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Corcoran challenge the Woodlake at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Friday, neither Corcoran nor Strathmore could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, Woodlake entered their tilt with Farmersville on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Aztecs by a score of 3-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Tigers were the better team in the second half.

Fernando Bucio and Roman Rosales scored all three of Woodlake's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

With that draw, Corcoran's record moves to 6-8-5. As for Woodlake, their win bumped their record up to 14-6-3.

Corcoran beat Woodlake by a goal in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Corcoran since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
