Chester has gone a perfect 4-0 against Wesclin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Yellowjackets will host the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Chester's defense has only allowed ten points per game this season, so Wesclin's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Chester's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They really took it to Sparta/Steeleville for the full four quarters, racking up a 27-0 victory. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 27 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chester to victory, but perhaps none more so than Trayton Peters, who threw for 151 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 40 yards. Another player making a difference was Tashawn Palacio, who picked up 103 receiving yards and one score.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Chester was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 276 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matchups, Wesclin finally came back down to earth on Friday. They took a 20-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dupo. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since August 30, 2019, but that streak is no more.

Chester will need to focus on slowing down William Waggoner, one of several Wesclin players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 120 yards.

Wesclin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Chester, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Chester took their victory against Wesclin when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 20-0 score. Will the Yellowjackets repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
