Softball Game Preview: Roxborough Wolves vs. Philadelphia Military Academy Knights

After both having extra time off, the Roxborough Wolves and the Philadelphia Military Academy Knights will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Roxborough has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Roxborough is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Frankford last Thursday. They lost 20-1 to the Pioneers.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia Military Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Overbrook last Thursday and fell 10-9. The defeat continues a trend for the Knights in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 2-2. As for Philadelphia Military Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Roxborough took their win against Philadelphia Military Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
