Basketball Game Preview: Montbello Warriors vs. Littleton Lions

The Montbello Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Littleton Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Montbello will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Montbello is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Northglenn on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Montbello was dealt a 76-29 loss at the hands of Northglenn. The Warriors were down 61-24 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Montbello's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kian Martin, who posted nine points, and Daniel Green, who earned seven points.

Meanwhile, Littleton was beaten by Columbine 91-56 on Tuesday. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-24.

Montbello's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Littleton, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4.

Montbello came up short against Littleton in their previous meeting last Saturday, falling 61-50. Can Montbello avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
