Basketball Game Preview: John Paul II Centurions vs. Three Rivers Bulldogs

The John Paul II Centurions will head out to face off against the Three Rivers Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. John Paul II has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 19.

Last Monday, John Paul II took a blow against Incarnate Word Academy, falling 59-27.

Meanwhile, Three Rivers came up short against Port Aransas on Tuesday, falling 51-31. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1488th, while the Marlins are ranked 689th).

Three Rivers has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for John Paul II, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.

Everything came up roses for John Paul II against Three Rivers in their previous meeting back in December of 2018, as the squad secured an 88-59 victory. Does John Paul II have another victory up their sleeve, or will Three Rivers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
