Volleyball Recap: Harvest Community Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Harvest Community and St. Edward squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Harvest Community had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 3-2. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Harvest Community took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 16-25, 18-25, 25-14, 16-14.

Harvest Community's loss came despite strong showings from Rylie Harris and Emma Shiferdek. Harris had 21 assists and seven digs, while Shiferdek had 13 digs. Harris is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Harvest Community's defeat dropped their record down to 21-10. As for St. Edward's, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-11.

Harvest Community does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Edward's, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Boca Raton Christian on the 5th.
