Recap: Davidson Academy Bears vs. Goodpasture Christian Cougars
The Davidson Academy Bears won the last time they faced the Goodpasture Christian Cougars, and things went their way on Friday too. Davidson Academy simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Goodpasture Christian 54-10 on the road. The result was nothing new for Davidson Academy, who have now won six matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Caden Stroud was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Will Breece also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Davidson Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Goodpasture Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davidson Academy will face off against Christ Presbyterian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Christ Presbyterian Academy will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Goodpasture Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Battle Ground Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
