Benton Central can attribute much of their success to Isabella Widmer, who had 11 digs and three aces. Widmer is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabelle Adams, who had two aces and 14 assists.
Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Seeger had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bombers.
Seeger was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 22-25, 25-14, 25-22.
Chase Lemming was the offensive standout of the matchup as she hit 61% for 41 kills28 digs, three blocks, and three aces. That's the most blocks she has posted since back in August of 2023.
Seeger was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive contests.
