It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pace had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Tocoi Creek Toros an 11-0 shutout. Considering the Patriots have won 17 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Pace is on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Tocoi Creek, they dropped their record down to 19-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Pace will take on Buchholz at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. Tocoi Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
