Softball Game Preview: Shekinah Christian Flames vs. Harvest Prep Warriors

The Shekinah Christian Flames will square off against the Harvest Prep Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

After dropping their season opener at home, Harvest Prep is headed out to face a Flames team ready to give their home crowd a win. Shekinah Christian lost 15-4 to Liberty Christian Academy on Monday.

Leah Newman stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Lydia Masula was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Harvest Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Millersport, falling 14-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Shekinah Christian took their victory against Harvest Prep in their previous matchup back in March of 2018 by a conclusive 14-0. Will Shekinah Christian repeat their success, or does Harvest Prep has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
