Basketball Recap: Montesano Snags Eighth Win in Last Ten Games

After only 28 points in their last game, Montesano made sure to put some points up on the board against Hoquiam on Thursday. The Montesano Bulldogs came out on top against the Hoquiam Grizzlies by a score of 58-50. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-45 on January 8th.

Montesano is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points per game. As for Hoquiam, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montesano will square off against Rochester at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hoquiam, they will take on Tenino at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Tenino will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Hoquiam surely won't give up without a fight.
