Softball Game Preview: Justice Wolves vs. Hayfield Hawks

Justice hasn't had much luck against Hayfield recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. Justice has given up an average of 18.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Justice is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 19th straight game dating back to last season last Thursday. They came up short against Falls Church, falling 20-7.

Meanwhile, Hayfield made easy work of Mount Vernon last Thursday and carried off a 20-6 victory. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Majors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Hayfield pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9.7 runs. As for Justice, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Justice suffered a grim 22-2 defeat to Hayfield in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
