Football Recap: Alexander Central Takes a Loss

Alexander Central and St. Stephens pushed the score to 35-28 the last time they played St. Stephens, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Cougars lost 21-0 to the Indians. The game marked the first time this season in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

Colton Pierce threw for 40 yards on five of 13 attempts. On the ground, Sawyer Chapman-Mays rushed for 77 yards.

Among those leading the charge was Maddox J Zablan, who rushed for 48 yards and one score, and also caught one touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 50 yards.

Alexander Central is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for St. Stephens, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
