Basketball Recap: Western Brown Takes a Loss

Western Brown lost against Anderson back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Western Brown Broncos were beaten by the Anderson Raptors 76-48. The Broncos were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-16.

Leading Anderson to victory were Toby Strausbaugh and Ace Alston. Strausbaugh went 7 of 10 on his way to 20 points and eight boards, while Alston posted 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Strausbaugh's third in a row with at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Trace Jallick, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine assists.

Western Brown has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Anderson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-10.

Coming up, Western Brown will venture away from home to face off against Batavia at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Anderson, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-54 defeat against Loveland on the 5th.
