If MAST Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Miami Springs on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Makos came up short against the Miami Stingarees on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Makos' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14, 25-22.

Isa Miguel paced MAST Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Miguel got some help from Ariadna Ros and her eight assists. Finally, Alex Papp kept MAST Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

MAST Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Miami, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, MAST Academy will head out on the road to face off against Braddock at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Miami, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Miami Beach on the 19th.
