Recap: Ligonier Valley Rams vs. Purchase Line Red Dragons
The Ligonier Valley Rams took care of business in their home opener on Saturday (barely). They skirted past Purchase Line 52-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Ligonier Valley also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2020.
Purchase Line's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brock Small, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakob Mountain, who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Ligonier Valley's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Purchase Line, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Ligonier Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Greensburg Central Catholic at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Purchase Line will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Conemaugh Valley at 7:15 p.m. on December 6th.
