Softball Game Preview: Modesto Christian Crusaders vs. Delhi Hawks

Modesto Christian hasn't had much luck against Delhi recently, but that could start to change on Monday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. Modesto Christian has given up an average of 18.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Modesto Christian's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 23-0 to Denair, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The loss leaves the Crusaders still looking for their first win of the season.

Meanwhile, Delhi came up short against Gustine last Wednesday and fell 13-8. That's two games in a row now that the Hawks have lost by exactly five runs.

Modesto Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Delhi, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Modesto Christian might still be hurting after the 13-0 loss they got from Delhi in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Crusaders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
