Game recap: Lake Zurich High School Football Team wins against Libertyville

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. - Lake Zurich (Ill.) received a huge boost from its defense against Libertyville (Ill.), as the unit scored 12 in defeating Libertyville (Ill.), 40-16.

After taking the lead on a defensive touchdown in the first quarter, the Bears led 26-3 at the half.

Lake Zurich grew its lead to 30 points entering the fourth quarter. LZ's lone score in the quarter came on a Noah Allgood touchdown run.

The Bears went into the matchup giving up only 5.4 points per game.

Libertyville (3-5) goes up against Zion-Benton in a North Suburban - Lake game matchup next week, while Lake Zurich (8-0) locks horns with Stevenson also in a North Suburban - Lake game.
