Basketball Recap: Southern Wells Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bluffton, Southern Wells was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Braves by a score of 56-44. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Raiders considering their 25-point performance the matchup before.

Ashlie Needler continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.4 rebounds per game. Erika Beavans was another key player, going 5 for 12 on her way to 12 points and five assists.

Southern Wells' record is now 9-2. As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Heritage the next time they take the court. Southern Wells will head out to face Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on December 17th.
