After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Geneseo, Sterling was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Chicago Christian Knights 2-1. That's more bragging rights for Sterling, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Mariela Gallardo and Natalie Scarbough scored both of Sterling's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Sterling's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-13. As for Chicago Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-12.

Sterling wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-0 defeat against Orion/Sherrard on the 19th. As for Chicago Christian, they are taking a road trip to challenge Schaumburg Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
