Softball Recap: Robinson Has No Trouble Against West Potomac

Robinson barely beat West Potomac the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams blew past the Wolverines 15-2 on Friday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Aleaha Burgy made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Burgy was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Marina Palazzo was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March. Emily Cohn was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Robinson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Robinson back to even at 9-9. As for West Potomac, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
