The Brownstown Central Braves will take on the Southwestern Rebels at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Brownstown Central will be strutting in after a win while Southwestern will be coming in after a defeat.
Brownstown Central was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against North Harrison on Saturday. The Braves blew past the Cougars 8-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Braves as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Evan Schneider looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Brownstown Central is 8-3 when Schneider allows two or fewer hits, but 7-8 otherwise.
At the plate, Preston Garrison was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 11 matchups. Kye Trueblood was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Brownstown Central hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Southwestern has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.63 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Thursday. They came up short against Seymour, falling 16-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Rebels have suffered since April 26th.
Southwestern saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tryson Warren, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
Southwestern's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-8. As for Brownstown Central, their record now sits at 15-11.
Brownstown Central beat Southwestern 5-2 in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Braves repeat their success, or do the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
