Austin let Byron stack four runs on them in the first inning on Saturday but luckily Austin prevailed anyway. The Packers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 win over the Bears. That's more bragging rights for the Packers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Austin's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was John Rollie, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Austin's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7. As for Byron, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Austin will face off against Northfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Byron, they will challenge Lake City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
