Softball Recap: Lake Comes Up Short

Lake and Puckett squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Lake had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-4 to the Wolves, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 on Thursday.

Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Puckett, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7-1 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Puckett beat Lake by a score of 10-4 on Saturday.
