Softball Recap: Pickens County Tornadoes vs. Central Falcons
Pickens County was the 17-1 winner over Central when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pickens County Tornadoes lost 16-1 to the Central Falcons on Tuesday. The Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Pickens County's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Central, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pickens County will venture away from home to face off against Holy Spirit Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pickens County has given up an average of 7.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Central, they will challenge Marion at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
