Volleyball Recap: Winfield Generals vs. Wayne Pioneers
Winfield hadn't done well against Wayne recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Winfield Generals came out on top against the Wayne Pioneers by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Generals.
Winfield easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-21.

Winfield has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-12-4 record this season. As for Wayne, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-17-4.
Winfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Hoover on the 19th. Wayne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
