Austintown-Fitch waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Howland Tigers by a score of 7-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-13 back in March.

Austintown-Fitch got a big performance out of Kaliana Ray, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Morgan Roby, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Austintown-Fitch's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Howland, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Austintown-Fitch will take on Riverside at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Howland, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Canfield at 5:00 p.m.
