Softball Recap: Stagg Takes a Loss

Stagg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the Mountain House Mustangs, falling 13-5. If the Delta Kings were looking for revenge after losing 15-7 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Araceli Lupian and Jayana Shoals did some serious damage despite the final result: Lupian went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double, while Shoals went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Stagg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Mountain House, they moved to 9-5 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Stagg will venture away from home to square off against Franklin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mountain House, they will welcome Patterson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
