Baseball Game Preview: Neshaminy Skins vs. Coatesville Red Raiders

The Neshaminy Skins will challenge the Coatesville Red Raiders on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Neshaminy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Parkland 3-1.

Matthew Gryn looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Neshaminy secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Nick Sassano, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Coatesville faced Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Red Raiders won by a run and slipped past the Friars/Pandas 8-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Raiders.

Neshaminy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Coatesville, their record now sits at 19-6.
