Volleyball Recap: Frederic Comes Up Short

Frederic was the 2-0 winner over Siren when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Frederic couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Siren a tough time in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 29-31, 19-25, 25-19, 15-9.

Estelle Chenal paced Frederic's offense, picking up 14 kills. Chenal got some help from Kenna Chenal and her 19 assists. Kenna also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with KaeAnn Gingras, each putting up four.

Frederic has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Siren, their record is now 6-9.

Frederic has already played their next contest (against Clayton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Siren, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Unity on the 4th.
