Soccer Game Preview: Cornwall Central vs. Warwick

Cornwall Central has won four straight games at home, while Warwick has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Dragons will welcome the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Cornwall Central knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Warwick likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Cornwall Central got the win against Middletown by a conclusive 7-1. Cornwall Central might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by four goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Warwick narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Pine Bush 2-1. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Warwick's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 68th, while Pine Bush are ranked 366th).

Cornwall Central's win bumped their record up to 12-0-1. As for Warwick, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.

Cornwall Central was able to grind out a solid win over Warwick in their previous meeting back in September, winning 2-0. Do the Dragons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
