Baseball Recap: Peoria Notre Dame Comes Up Short

After flying high against Peoria on Monday, Peoria Notre Dame came back down to earth. The Irish came up short against the Limestone Rockets on Thursday, falling 10-2. The Irish haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Joe Culp made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Peoria Notre Dame's loss dropped their record down to 13-16. As for Limestone, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-12 record this season.

Peoria Notre Dame will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Dunlap at 10:00 a.m. As for Limestone, they will head out on the road to face off against Olympia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
