Shepherd came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Farwell Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 on Tuesday.

Brady Robinson was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tristin Fisher, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Shepherd kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive games.

Shepherd pushed their record up to 20-6-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Farwell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.

Looking ahead, Shepherd will be playing in front of their home fans against Rudyard at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Farwell, they will head out to challenge Coleman at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles are facing the Comets at the right time seeing as the Comets are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
