Game recap: Lake Braddock High School Football Team defeats Yorktown

BURKE, Va. - Lake Braddock (Burke, Va.) kept up a steady attack all game long to defeat Yorktown (Arlington, Va.), 39-7, on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Trevor O'Brien in the first quarter, the Bruins led 19-8 at the half.

Lake Braddock expanded its lead to 24 points entering the fourth quarter. LB scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown.

With the win the Burke school extended its winning streak to 12 games. Lake Braddock defeated Chantilly 56-31 last week.

Yorktown's only touchdown came on a 4-yard run by Da'jhaun Short in the second quarter.



The Patriots came in surrendering 15.2 points per game this season. Yorktown had a hard time against Lake Braddock's offense, who entered the game scoring 7.1 points per game. Lake Braddock came into the game allowing 12.5 points per game.

The defeat comes as a step back for Yorktown, which notched a 12-7 victory over Fairfax in its previous outing.
