Basketball Recap: Gore Comes Up Short

Gore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Vian Wolverines. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 56-36 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gore's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Vian, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.

Gore has already played their next game, a 35-24 victory against Braggs on the 14th. As for Vian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-39 defeat against Chouteau-Mazie on the 14th.
