Basketball Recap: Trevon Maley's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Fort Wayne Homeschool over Indianapolis Homeschool Wildcats

Fort Wayne HomeSchool has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost 74-48 to Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats on Friday. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Trevon Maley, who posted 11 points in addition to six steals and five boards. That's the most steals Maley has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gavin Reynolds, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 16 points.

Fort Wayne HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 22-12. As for Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats, their win bumped their record up to 15-11.

Coming up, Fort Wayne HomeSchool and Christian Educational Consortium will face off at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Fort Wayne HomeSchool is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.8 points per game this season.
