Springfield comes up short despite Anthony Ahern's dominant performance

The Springfield Spartans pushed their score all the way to 56 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Woodridge by a score of 58-56. Springfield has not had much luck with Woodridge recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the loss, Springfield still got an impressive performance from Anthony Ahern, who went 8 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 2 assists. Another player making a difference was Anthony Fortner, who scored nine points.
Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Woodridge, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.
Springfield will challenge Norton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Norton will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Woodridge will be home for the holidays to greet Cloverleaf at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
