Baseball Recap: Monday's Win Is Lowell's 13th in Last 15 Outings

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Lowell walked away with it. They walked away with an 8-5 win over the Gaston Greyhounds on Monday.

Lowell is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Gaston, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Lowell nor Gaston have any future games scheduled.
