Volleyball Recap: Sikeston Comes Up Short

Sikeston lost against Dexter back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bulldogs fell 3-1 to the Bearcats. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-15, 17-25, 25-7, 25-16.

Despite the defeat, Sikeston saw an underclassman step up: freshman Londyn Mitchell had 30 digs and two aces. Those 30 digs set a new season-high mark for Mitchell. Bailey Null was another key player, getting ten digs.

Sikeston's loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Dexter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6-2.

Coming up, Sikeston will head out on the road to square off against Scott City at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dexter, they will be playing at home against Bell City at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
