Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Lanier Christian Academy

Lanier Christian Academy won the last time they faced New Creation Christian Academy and Maple Pittman did her part to make sure it happened again. The Lightning blew past the Crusaders 50-26 on Thursday thanks in part to Pittman, who posted nine points and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played.

The win (which was Lanier Christian Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points on average over those games. As for New Creation Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Lanier Christian Academy and New Creation Christian Academy will both be playing Strong Rock Christian the next time they take the court. The Lightning will head out to face the Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Crusaders will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on the 13th.
